Accessibility at CaregiverCrew
Many of the people who use CaregiverCrew are older adults, people with disabilities and the family members who support them. Accessibility is part of how we build, not an afterthought.
Our goal
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA on our main journeys: searching for caregivers, reading profiles, creating an account, sending care requests and booking.
What we have done
- Body text of at least 18 pixels, generous line spacing and color contrast checked against WCAG AA.
- Buttons and form controls at least 44 by 44 pixels, with visible focus outlines.
- Full keyboard navigation, a "skip to main content" link, and logical heading structure.
- Labels on every form field and plain-language error messages.
- Descriptive alternative text on informative images.
- Reduced motion for visitors who ask their device to minimize animation.
Known limitations
Some account and dashboard screens, payment pages provided by third parties, and photos uploaded by caregivers may not yet fully meet our goal. We review and improve these areas on an ongoing basis.
